Hello,
My name is Nick Crockett, and I have a little soul-mending project called Robot Mushroom.
Before I started writing and performing personal art, I had a bit of a gap in my soul. I tried to ease the uncomfortable mystery through religious endeavors, but after over a decade of results that left me with copious amounts of shame and distrust in my own desires, I began a journey… therapy.
It was a long road. The reasons I started changed multiple times. What I thought I would gain shifted along the way. But as healing took place and I discovered all this hidden love within myself that I hadn't understood before, I developed a spiritual practice of writing music—creating reminders of the truths I was uncovering. Lighthouses on the shores of understanding, self-worth, and peace, guiding me back when the storms are blinding.
I write music for my soul—loud songs of honest struggles. I carry my wounded inner child into the light, reminding myself, and anyone who wishes to listen, that you are beautiful just the way you are. There is nothing we need to become, banish, or burn. Peace is already resting within us all, waiting to be felt.
We all live in a bit of a ROBOT world these days, mathematically calculating what a good and full life should look like...
This project’s goal is to settle us into more of a MUSHROOM mode—living presently, connected to this divine, living, breathing life.
