Bend Bikes invites you to a presentation of "Moving the Needle on Bike Ridership in Bend" on Tuesday, October 7th from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm at the East Bend Library There will be light snacks and drinks. The presentation will last about an hour, followed by discussion about how to move forward.
This is not just an educational talk. It’s a call to build a stronger coalition of like-minded organizations and people working to make Bend more livable, sustainable, and equitable. Bikes are a key tool: they reduce household costs, improve health, cut carbon emissions, make streets safer, and free up city space for housing, parks, and community life.
Our goal is to encourage leaders across Bend — whether your focus is housing, environment, education, or community building — to integrate transportation change into your advocacy. Car dependency is expensive, dangerous, and harmful to both climate and community. Biking is an alternative that makes all our work stronger.
We also want to form the core of a group that can help us develop a set of concrete actions to propose to the city in order to Move the Needle and make Bend a safe, liveable, and bikeable city for all.
We hope to see you at this event! We would appreciate an RSVP if you plan to attend.
Thank you for your interest in making Bend's future safer and more livable, sustainable, and equitable.
