Join us for the quarterly local author showcase! This FREE event features two Bend authors, who will be in the store from 12:00pm-2:00pm to promote their books. Books will be available for purchase and signing. As a special treat, Kristi Turner will have her corgi, Stella, the star of her book with her for everyone to meet!
Kristi Turner lives in Bend and is a cancer survivor and fighter. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in December 2021. The cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and bones. After 12 rounds of chemotherapy, in the fall of 2022, she was then diagnosed with brain cancer. Kristi underwent radiation to target those tumors and continues infusions to this day. Most affected by her diagnosis was and still is, her son, the reason for this book.

Discover how three short-legged heroes with enormous hearts demonstrate that healing happens through presence, laughter, and devotion. Ideal for families navigating health challenges, parents nurturing empathy in their children, and anyone who understands the transformative power of canine companionship. A touching reminder that love truly does find a way to mend what's broken.
