Special Guest Instructor Samson Muhalia, yoga teacher & founder of Humanure Kenya, is visiting Central Oregon from Kenya to share best practices for yoga using the accessibility and support of a chair. You can attend just the 1st part, or both parts.
Part 1, Class: 2:00 - 3:00 PM, experience a chair yoga class taught by Samson
Part 2, Training: 3:00 - 4:00 Learn how to lead your own chair yoga practice to help improve your or your students' physical health and mental wellbeing at work, in a plane or ANYWHERE.
You will experience a chair yoga sequence you can do at home, work or while traveling that is accessible to people of ALL AGES and abilities! Learn the 6 movements of the spine, gentle joint mobility to increase synovial fluid and reduce pain, and strengthening exercises to build balance and prevent injury. You will also learn how to provide gentle movement to someone who is confined to a bed, either due to injury or advanced age.
