In support of PA States Championship weekend and upcoming Winter Classics League finals, we're running a special classics-only edition of the Big Battle. We've moved the start time to 5pm to allow some of the folks from states to play. 5pm start should still allow the women competing in States on Sunday to finish at a reasonable hour.
Doors open at 4pm, First round starts at 5pm.
$15 for all day entry for the Dojo, $5 for tournament fee.

QUALIFYING
– As many rounds of matchplay as we can complete between 5-8:30pm
– Players will be put into groups of 4 (or 3 when necessary) and play ONE randomly selected game
– Scoring on each game is 7/5/3/1
NUMBER OF QUALIFIERS
24 – 31 players – Top 12 qualify (top 4 receive byes)
32 – 47 players – Top 16 qualify
48 – 64 players – Top 24 qualify (top 8 receive byes)
Top 8 players with IFPA ranking >1000 will qualify for B finals.
PLAYOFFS
– Groups of 3-4 will compete in Pinburgh style match play
– Each round will contain 3 games
– Scoring will be 3/2/1/0
– Top two from each group will advance to the next round
Games will be a mix of EM and solid state games
