About the event

Nature Discovery Table: Wild About Rice
Come on down to discover all kinds of cool nature objects! Animal skulls, feathers, furs, rocks or plants, oh my! Each week there will be a different theme to engage your senses and explore the natural world up close. This time, learn about the tasty wild rice we love to eat! Did you know that wild rice is actually a type of grass seed? Did you know that Indigenous Peoples have been gathering wild rice for many generations? Discover the process from plant to table and also get to eat some wild rice!

Stop by any time between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Meet in the Visitor Center.

All vehicles entering the park need a valid Minnesota State Park vehicle permit which is $7 for a day or $35 for a year.
