TAKE A HIKE WITH LEXY AND LOST GOODS AND GEAR!
OUTSIDE IS CALLING
WHERE: Meet at Appalachian National Scenic Trail, Trailhead Parking, Hardwick Township, NJ
WHEN: Sunday October 5 - Meet at 8:45am and begin hike at 9am. If you would like to carpool from Belvidere we will meet at Lost Goods and Gear at 8 am. Let us know if you want to carpool.
COST: No cost to join, just come enjoy the views and fresh air. We just need a headcount so please call us at 908 557-5275 or stop in at LOST GOODS AND GEAR to register.
Join us for a beginner friendly guided hike to Catfish Fire Tower, just outside of Blairstown NJ. The trail is a mix of Appalachian Trail and and gravel access road. Once at the top, you will have the opportunity to climb a fire tower overlooking the Kittatinny Ridgeline! This is a hike with some elevation gain, not a gentle stroll through the woods! Please be aware there will be about a mile of uphill walking.
Out and back trail: 2.2 miles round trip and about 400 ft of elevation gain.
Some things required:
- Good hiking shoes or boots
- Water
Some things suggested:
- Merino wool hiking socks
- Warm fleece top layer
- Wind layer/rain jacket ( weather dependent
- Hammock to enjoy the view from
- Hiking poles to help the hike be more enjoyable
- Backpack to carry all your gear.
