Coshatte Ag Society Halloween Cookoff

Get your cooking utensils out and canopy tent cleaned up for a fun day competing against others local to see who makes the best Chili, Gumbo, and Beans! Cash prize for 1st and 2nd place in each category. Each team will have the opportunity to also buy into a Bloody Mary and Dutch Oven Dessert round.

Since it’s the week before Halloween, bring a bag of candy or goodies for the kiddos. After the last category is turned in, the kiddos will be coming around in their Halloween finest to trick or treat and get all the candy they can.

Once the judges have finished their hard job, we will invite everyone into the hall where we will start the awards ceremony with a costume contest! We will have three categories for kids and one for adults (18 and up).

Don’t want to compete but just want to come out and try some different chilis, gumbos, and beans…come on!!! You can buy tokens for $1 a piece to vote for the team that you think did the best overall, taking into account the team set up area/decorations, cooking crew, their food, etc. One Peoples Choice Overall winner will be awarded.

All proceeds from this event will go to rebuilding the club room/meeting room which was destroyed by a fire in July 2024 as well as repairing the roof of the hall that was damaged during the crazy storms that hit the Bellville area in 2024.
