Explore the wild and wonderful world of watercolor this fall by learning how to paint watercolor leaves. This beginner-friendly class teaches basic techniques like blending, mixing, and layering watercolor paint on paper using coloring-book-style outlines. Learn how to capture those perfect autumnal leaves as the season starts to change. Instructor Kate Talcott, owner of Splatter and Bloom, strives to make watercolor feel accessible, doable, and FUN for anyone ready to slap some paint on the page. With this workshop, you’ll receive 3 hours of instruction PLUS take-home supplies and two extra projects with video tutorials so you can continue your watercolor journey beyond the class.
Class registration fees include admission to the Whatcom Museum and a watercolor kit, which includes:
• Three 8″x10″ sheets of coloring-book-style outlines on 140 lb. premium cold press watercolor paper
• One compostable palette with room for mixing
• Twelve Da Vinci Paint Co. professional watercolor paint dots
• One with a wooden handle and gold accents
• Link to a digital portal with paint-along videos for each design
