Balance and Coordination
This class is specifically designed for the Boomers, Gen Xers and my fellow Millenials! As we enter middle age and beyond, we lose precious balance, coordination and the elasticity of our youth. So, I made it my mission to develop a program aimed at slowing down and reversing the process of deterioration.
Each session will consist of the following aspects:
1. Movement Foundations
2. Eye Hand Coordination
3. Footwork
4. Elasticity/Pliability Training

This initial offering of Balance and Coordination Class will be 4 consecutive Mondays from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. The goal is to extend this class to offer multiple days per week throughout the entire calendar year. This first 4-week session will be open to 10 students for the price of $100 per student.

Aspect Descriptions
1. Movement Foundations: fundamental aspects of movement including, standing posture, hip hinging, split stance, rotational movement, ground tension and weight shifting.
2. Eye Hand Coordination: we will practice eye hand coordination utilizing several tools like tennis balls, birdies, flow ropes, and boxing drills.
3. Footwork: this will be incorporated into Movement Foundations, Eye Hand drills as well as utilizing tools like cones and speed ladders.
4. Elasticity/Pliability Training: we will emphasize tissue health via contraction and relaxation of muscles and creating rebound in our movements. Movement sequencing will also be a huge part of keeping the soft tissue of the body supple.
