Striking Strings is a captivating performance by Iranian virtuoso Sirvan Manhoobi, featuring the Oud, Setar, and Tanbour. Blending Persian, Kurdish, and Iranian folk roots with improvisation and original compositions, the program explores the diverse soundscapes of these string instruments. Through each piece, Sirvan creates a dialogue between ancient traditions and contemporary expression, guiding listeners on a journey through resonance, memory, and innovation. The performance reflects his deep cultural heritage and personal artistic vision, revealing how traditional melodies can be reborn through creative interpretation and emotional expression. In this program, Sirvan is accompanied by Rambod Dargahi on percussion, including Tombak, Udu, and Frame Drum, weaving rhythm and melody pinto a poetic reflection on identity, heritage, and the timeless voice of strings.
