This November, Logan County HeadStart operations are set to temporarily close due to the government shutdown and we need your help in providing these families with part-time support until their resources return.
Journey Nature School (JNS) is working with area organizations (like the Logan County Farmers Market & Vendors), volunteers, and donors to provide supplemental preschool offerings to the families whose children are in the 3-5 year old pre-k rooms at Head Start.
Without the federal and state funds to keep the program going, these families will be left with little to no options for their children through the month of December (at least), regardless of if the government opens back up within the next couple of weeks.
With your contributions, JNS will be offering 2 days a week of a bridged program, that blends the JNS program elements with familiar spaces and routines of their typical HeadStart classrooms.
Help us help local children today, by ensuring that families are offered support through these challenging times.
This campaign and program are efforts of Journey Nature School and The Craft Emporium to support families who utilize Head Start offerings.
Logan County’s Head Start programs are not requesting funds for their operations.
