Ash Wednesday Service

Highlands Church will begin the Season of Lent on Ash Wednesday, February 18, with a special worship service at 6:00 PM in the Sanctuary.

During this service, ashes will be applied to the foreheads of those who wish to receive them. These ashes are a symbol of repentance, mourning, and mortality. Leaving with the ashes visible can be a quiet, public expression of faith and a reminder of our need for God’s grace.

This brief service marks the beginning of the Lenten journey that leads us to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We hope you will make plans to attend.
