Paula La Loggia Haeni is part of a young generation of musicians who are breaking down genre boundaries and exploring new paths. She engages deeply with electronic and contemporary music, blending these influences with improvisation and performative elements. Her focus lies primarily on low clarinets, placing the bass and contrabass clarinet at the center of attention and exploring the full range of these unique instruments. Contemporary and transdisciplinary projects are at the heart of her artistic work.
Igor Stangliczky has been around for a while, started as a grind core kid in the early 90'ies scene and worked his way in sound art through various collaborations with contemporary dancers and choreographers, composing sound tracks as well as playing live scores for experimental theatre shows. This opened doors to performing improv and experimental sound art pieces, which he continues to do to this day. He's always after exciting sound textures, painting his soundscapes using processed field recordings, sampled object sounds and various electronic instruments.
Yeti has also been around for quite a while. Most of you know him as one half of Skier and Yeti band. This evening His Highness, The Yeti Selecti will be showing himself, stepping out of his comfort zone behind the drums and in front of laptopi, playing a selection of his favourite tunes, just for you peeps. Yeti Selecti human music and we can not wait to hear what he has chosen to share with us.
Rosa Wernecke and Paula Haeni explore the search for flashes and glitches in image and sound within a performance of fog and spray. The audience is drawn into a world that hums and thunders, flickers and shines, explodes and burns. Where sound breaks, light explodes, and the synthesis of the arts merges, the two artists allow glitches to become flashes of light. Within these storms of lightning and disruptions, the performance addresses queer desire as flashes of potential and hints of possible connections that occasionally illuminate. As the air crackles with tension, the lightning traces an electrifying longing for connections that always were, are, and will be simultaneously. In this sense, becoming a flash of lightning means not simply accepting the normative system, but rather scratching at its boundaries as a flaw, a glitch, a disruption—and striking again and again.
