Disco Not Disco with Khidja

OCT 25 | Disco Not Disco is back at Dim in its new format, featuring six-hour special sets starting at 18:00. The second event in the series welcomes Romania’s two-headed mythical creature, Khidja.

Rus and Flore have been harnessing the dynamics of their opposites for two decades, with the world first hearing the Khidja records around fifteen years ago. They share a room with Tapan on Malka Tuti and have numerous releases on Hivern Discs.

As we write these lines, we’re going through some of their mixes on Soundcloud that feel like a slap in the face, and provide a safe passage to the source in an instant. Seeing the late Kirsty P’s always supportive comments at the end of their mixes squeezes our hearts. It’s all about whether Marius knows these records or not. It’s about hitting another unique rendition of Caravan. It’s about Disco Not Disco doing what they do best, gifting Belgrade with the ultimate songpickers.

Which brings us to our final question: Do we like our neighbors more as producers or DJs? We’ll have to refresh our memory at Dim.
