Take a break from the solemn and the straight-faced, this season is all about big laughs, outrageous send-ups, and cult comedy classics. From outer-space spoofing with Galaxy Quest (1999) to undead slapstick in Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995), from buddy-cop chaos in Hot Fuzz (2007) to Bill Murray’s anarchic Christmas redemption in Scrooged (1988), we’re celebrating cinema that refuses to take itself seriously.

Mel Brooks does what he does best: parody. With Leslie Nielsen as the world’s least intimidating Count Dracula, this horror spoof is all slapstick, bad accents, and buckets of fake blood.
