CREATING CHARACTER TEETH FOR FILM & TV - Join Chris Lyons, Fangs FX, for an exclusive talk, demonstration and Q&A about a career in creating specialised character teeth for film, television, theatre and multimedia promotional productions.
Renowned throughout the industry for over 40 years, Chris, who has almost 1000 film credits to his name, has worked with award winning make-up artists to special effects companies who have won BAFTAs and Oscars. The Fangs FX team have created prosthetic teeth for Harry Potter, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic World, Skyfall and Game of Thrones, and most recently, 28 Years Later. Fangs FX also frequently helps to transform actors for biopics – notably recreating the teeth of musicians including Elvis, Bob Marley, Freddie Mercury and Amy Winehouse. Chris will discuss the challenges involved and the skills required for the job, from creating custom zombie dentures to screen-accurate smiles to bring characters to life.
