Rita Harkin and Leah O’Neill from Architectural Heritage Fund will highlight two recent restorations involving the AHF and local communities

About this Event

Rita Harkin and Leah O’Neill from the Architectural Heritage Fund will highlight the trials and tribulations, as well as the benefits, involved in delivering grassroots regeneration projects.

In this talk they will use examples from the Village Catalyst and Harnessing Heritage seed funding programmes, outlining the project journeys of The Woolstore, Caledon; Chandler’s House, Rathfriland; The Old Post Office, Gracehill and Bangor Courthouse - all featured in the Built to Last book.

• Tickets are available via Eventbrite from the UAHS website and should be

purchased in advance.

Members: £12. Non-Members: £15. Students: £6

• Wine/Soft drinks and light refreshments (included in ticket price) will be served

from 6.30 pm. Lecture starts promptly at 7 pm.

• Copies of Built to Last will be available to purchase on the night.

• Venue: Old Museum Building, 7 College Square North, Belfast BT1 6AR

Please note that due to the historic nature of the Old Museum Building, access is via a

flight of stone steps. We regret that it is currently unsuitable for wheelchair users.
