Pardon the pun, but “The Orca” has without doubt become the biggest event in our series and the one that we feel has definitely put our “mini stage races” on the Australian “must do” MTB event list.
Whilst the Sapphire Coast region is a tourist mecca, best known for the killer whales that frequent the coastline, the new 50km trail network that was recently completed here is without doubt going to be the driver for tourism in the future. This combination of trails and tourism is the mecca for our Quad Events!
Now we return for 2025 and as the saying goes, if the model ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
The Prelude Stage for The Orca will start and finish at the main Gravity Eden Trail Hub and feature a selection of some of the best trails right in the heart of the Gravity Eden Park. The time trial is a “must do” on Friday afternoon in order to not only get your handicap for the weekend stages but also to get your first taste of the awesome single trail that will keep you buzzing all weekend long!
Stage 1 on the Saturday morning will again see us head north to Tathra, just over half an hour up the coast from Eden. Once again we will starting and finish from the iconic Tathra Hotel, and utilise the trails that stretch north and south from Tathra that combine to total more than 35km of twisting single track.
The final stage of The Orca will begin with a rollout from Hotel Australasia down the main street of Eden and out to the incredible trail network at Gravity Eden MTB Park. Ahead lies a course built around over 30km of some of the best trails in Australia, with Stage 2 once again highlighted by the jaw-dropping 8km Wilderness Trail (Round The Outside), possible the best descent you will ever ride!
The Sapphire Coast is one of Australia’s best kept secrets, located pretty much right in the middle of a triangle from Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne, an easily drivable long weekend getaway and one you definitely must add to your “To Do List!”… so what are you waiting for? Sign up today!
