Fabrics 101

This class wil teach you the names, textures, uses of various fabrics - apparel, upholstery, curtains, etc. You will also learn how fabric is measured, 45, 58-60, 108 and how selvage is used. Learn to read pattern instructions re fabric, how to order on-line or in big fabric warehouses. Also what you need to know about selecting items from garage sales, estate sales or your attic to upcycle! This will be in a lecture and show and tell format with some machine demonstratrations.If you have a laptop, bring to learn on-line buys and notebook and pen for notes.
