Listen To The Movie: The Graduate (1967)

One of the most beloved American films of all time, The Graduate launched Dustin Hoffman’s career, won Mike Nichols a Best Director Oscar, and brought Simon & Garfunkel’s music to the forefront of pop culture. Benjamin Braddock (Hoffman), adrift after college, finds himself entangled with the assertive Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft)—and then her daughter (Katharine Ross). With its sharp script, iconic soundtrack, and unforgettable visuals, The Graduate became a cultural touchstone for a generation.

Part of our Listen to the Movie series, the screening will be followed by a Q&A with local musician Rob Cavenagh, exploring the film’s legendary soundtrack.
