Join us at the Fort Bedford Museum for an engaging lecture by Tom Davidson, Volunteer President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Lincoln Highway Association. This program will explore the fascinating history of the Lincoln Highway in Pennsylvania, the nation’s first coast-to-coast roadway, and highlight the unique Lincoln Highway landmarks in Bedford County that remain as touchstones of early American travel.
As a Pennsylvania native and long-time volunteer historian, Tom brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the subject. His extensive research, published in the national Lincoln Highway Journal, and his active involvement with both the Lincoln Highway Association and the Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor, make him an authoritative voice on this important piece of American history.
Through stories, photographs, and historical insights, Tom will illustrate how the Lincoln Highway shaped communities, connected people, and left behind enduring legacies in our region. The lecture will conclude with a Q&A session, allowing the audience to ask questions and share reflections on this remarkable chapter in local and national history.
