This event will featuring lots of Cleveland/Northeast Ohio and personal alternative music history! Ray (ex-Jim Rose Circus, The Lyres, Death Of Samantha, others) will read from his book, "Rock and Roll Mercenary," a story-laden layman's guide on how-to crawl your way into the music business.
A 40-year veteran of the entertainment industry, Professor Ray takes the time to explain how you too can find a way to tour, work and survive "the Biz". Chock full of funny anecdotes, music history, and pictures galore, as well as production management and touring technician protocol, his book is essential reading for anyone trying to break into the musical entertainment field. Other bands he has worked with include: Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, The Pagans, Toadies, The Cramps, Human Switchboard, Humble Pie, and Lollapalooza 1991-92. Ray will bring plenty of pics, posters and fliers from his extensive collection of memorabilia to share with the audience. Q&A will immediately follow the presentation.
