About the event

The Pollinator Pathway: Bee On It!
Thousands of people across the country have joined forces to create the Pollinator Pathway, a grassroots movement focused on protecting and restoring habitat for bees, birds, butterflies, moths, and other pollinating insects. Join us to learn how you can be part of this important effort to help reverse declines in bird and pollinator populations. We will discuss the threats pollinators face and some easy steps you can take to help support them in your yard and your community. We will explore some of the most common bee and butterfly species you are likely to see on a walk around our area and then head out to look for them.

Space is limited for the programs and advance registration is required. Event fee is $5 for Conservancy members and $10 for non-members. This program is intended for ages high school – adult.

This event will include a sit-down discussion as well as a walk-and-talk component on the Van Scott Nature Reserve’s trails to view pollinator meadows and wildlife activity. Please wear closed-toe shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Be prepared to walk approx. 1.5 miles on uneven terrain.
