Intern Preparation Weekend at Magnetic Island! 10-11th January

A junior doctor at Townsville, Dr Lauren Boseley had the brilliant idea of organising a weekend to help prepare interns for starting their new career and approached MedScapades to help organise it.

With tips for maximising efficiency on the wards from recent interns, practical advice on organising your tasks and a structured approach to common MET call problems, you will feel much more confident about your first day.

Along with Dr Takuma Konno, a well-regarded medical school tutor and Dr Joanna Longley, intensivist and Rural Generalist, Lauren will make sure you are feeling well prepared and supported in your transition to medical practice.

Of course, there will be time to relax by the pool or on the beach, join us for hikes and optional kayaking/snorkelling trips. There is also an optional sunset cruise. All meals are catered and included in the price ($300 for the full weekend of education, quizzes, evening entertainment and all meals).
