Houston Latin Jazz Orchestra

The Houston Latin Jazz Orchestra, led by Grammy-nominated music director José Antonio Diaz, is a powerhouse ensemble bringing together some of Houston’s finest Latin jazz artists. These world-class musicians ignite the stage with the vibrant rhythms and soulful melodies born from the rich traditions of Latin America, fused with the dynamic energy of Houston’s diverse cultural landscape.
Individually, they’ve toured the globe and shared the stage with legends like Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Chaka Khan, Paquito D’Rivera, Maynard Ferguson, Billy Taylor, David Sanborn, Nestor Torres, Wynton Marsalis, Arturo O’Farrill, Joe Sample, The Jazz Crusaders, Idina Menzel, Ricardo Montaner, La India, and Luis Enrique—and collectively, they create an electrifying musical experience that leaves audiences dancing in their seats.
