@Femme Sole is excited to announce the 3rd Shaping the Shoreline event — a FREE, accessible community clay workshop rooted in land, story, and connection.
�Led by ceramic artist @Jessamyn Go, this special edition of the workshop will be held at Teatro Yerbabruja, a BIPOC Art Center located in the Bay Shore Second Avenue Firehouse Gallery. Site host Margarita Espada, founder and executive-artistic director of Teatro Yerbabruja, and Anu Annam, founder of SEA of Visibility and an award-winning, internationally acclaimed artist, will join us for an evening of creation. Teatro Yerbabruja and Sea of Visiblity are both art organizations that uses the arts for social change and uplifts the voices of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists!
�This FREE hands-on, 2-hour workshop invites the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ community and allies who are curious about ceramics to explore the medium of clay and to hand-build sculptural masks centered on personal identity.
�Jessamyn will guide participants through beginner-friendly hand-building techniques she uses in her own ceramic wall-hanging masks.
�Registration is required and space is limited. This workshop is open to teens and adults ages 13 and up. Due to the popularity of these free workshops, registration is limited to first-time attendees. We thank you for your continued support in helping our creative community grow.
