Helena Kim is an active pianist, organist, and conductor, and currently serves as music director at St. Ephrem RC Church in Brooklyn. She studied orchestral conducting with the late Maestro Vincent La Selva of New York Grand Opera, where she also performed. In 2019, she led the Gilbert and Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island in The Gondoliers and has given piano recitals nationwide. She holds a DMA in organ performance from Rutgers University, where she received the Elizabeth Wyckoff Durham Award.
Linda Teixeira, soprano, music educator, and co-founder of Queens Sound, has performed widely in the U.S. and abroad. She regularly appears with Opera Night Long Island and the West Islip Orchestra and has sung with Dicapo Opera, Regina Opera, Rockland Opera, and others. Internationally, she has appeared at the Amalfi Coast Musical Festival and in Hungary with Dicapo Opera. A graduate of The Hartt School and Queens College, Linda co-created the music education series Maestro’s Magical Music Box and teaches at Masera Middle School (Eastern Suffolk BOCES).

Tenor Michael Celentano is known for roles ranging from the operatic canon to new works, including Meyerbeer’s Dinorah and Weber’s Der Freischütz. He has appeared with the Metropolitan Opera, Bronx Opera, and in art song recitals nationwide. A SUNY Stony Brook DMA graduate and NFMC Competition winner, his recent project, Michael Dellaira’s Arctic Explorations, will be released on Naxos this November.
Mezzo-soprano Nicole Karrs, a recent Stony Brook DMA graduate, has sung roles with Stony Brook Opera and regional companies including Central Florida Lyric Opera, Miami Music Festival, and Northern Lights Music Festival. Favorite roles include Marcellina (Le Nozze di Figaro), Olga (Eugene Onegin), and La Zia Principessa (Suor Angelica). She has also taught voice privately and at Stony Brook.
Bass Ian Joyal, noted for his “fine Italianate sound” and comic roles, has performed Don Alfonso, Leporello, Sarastro, and Figaro. He made his international debut with Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, singing Leporello and Sarastro, and has appeared in oratorio works including Verdi’s Requiem and Handel’s Messiah. He credits his father, his first voice teacher, as his inspiration.
