Love dolls or action figures? Are you a collector looking to show off and talk about highlights of your collection? Or do you just want to learn more about toys and enjoy pop culture? Collectors both seasoned and new will be showcasing what they collect Saturday, September 6 at the Art Center of Battle Creek! The event is free and open to the public.
For the fourth year in a row, Battle Creek Area Doll Club members and local toy collectors will have portions of their collections on display and will be on-hand to talk about their hobby, why they collect, what they collect, and sharing whatever tips they have for newcomers looking to start collecting!
To coincide with the celebration of the National Kokeshi Festival going on in Japan that weekend, the Doll Club will be putting together a special display of kokeshi doll varieties, showcasing the handcrafted wooden dolls from Japan's Tohoku region.
