The Heresy of Virtue

Ninety years ago this month, Senator Huey P. Long was assassinated inside the Louisiana State Capitol.
Join us at the Main Library at Goodwood on Wednesday, September 17 at 6 p.m. as author Claire Bateman discusses her new book The Heresy of Virtue.
Told through the eyes of Yvonne Pavy Weiss—wife of Dr. Carl Weiss, the alleged assassin—this program will feature family stories, letters, photos, and journals that shed new light on one of Louisiana’s most infamous events.
