Blue Mountains residents Margaret and Bob are long-time favourites on the folk festival scene all over Australia and in the UK. Having met in Canberra over 50 years ago, they have spent decades performing together. They were given the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' at the National Folk Festival at Canberra earlier this year. This is an award given 'for a significant lifetime contribution to folk music and culture in Australia'. Margaret and Bob are also well known as a family group with daughter and son Kate and James and daughter in law Nancy Kerr (UK).
