About this Event

BWCE is a not-for-profit community energy business. We tackle climate change through clean energy generation and energy efficiency measures in homes. We also reinvest surplus income in local community projects reducing carbon emissions and addressing fuel poverty. Our renewable energy projects in Bath and the surrounding area rely upon community support and investment from people especially locally but also further afield. We value our support network hugely.

Come for an afternoon at the Museum of Bath at Work to learn more about Bath and West Community Energy plans and how you can make a difference!

  • Interested in living more sustainably?
  • Keen to support renewables?
  • Want to know more about our community investment model?
  • Want to know how we can take action together?

We'll be hearing from our panel with opportunity for Q and A.

Jen Gale on how we can gently shake the world with our imperfect eco-actions.

Jen is a Climate Action Advisor at Let's Go Zero, Carbon Literacy Trainer, Author and Founder of Sustainable(ish), which offers practical inspiration for small easy steps to get started living a more sustainable lifestyle, and to consume more consciously.

Sonya Bedford on how anyone can participate in community energy

Sonya is Deputy Chair of BWCE and a partner in a legal firm and has many years experience in the energy sector. She specialises in social value delivery of energy projects and all technologies of renewable energy. Sonya has a particular expertise in accessing grid, development of alternative connections and licensed and local supply.
