On Wednesday 12th November, The Digital Detox Club is bringing our signature Offline Café experience to Newark Works — a rare chance to step away from screens and sink into the simple pleasures of real-life connection.
For two hours, you’ll swap notifications for conversations, and endless scrolling for analogue activities designed to help you unwind. Your phone will be safely stored in our Phone Motel, giving you uninterrupted time to be fully present.
We’ll open the evening with a short, thought-provoking talk on our relationship with technology and practical tips for creating more balance in a hyper-connected world. Then the space is yours to explore:
• Mindful games & tactile crafts
• Inspiring books & magazines
• Journaling prompts & conversation starters
• Space for quiet reflection or easy, screen-free connection with others
Bring a hobby if you’d like, or simply enjoy the gentle, unhurried atmosphere. Introverts and extroverts welcome in equal measure.
There’s a special kind of magic that happens when people unplug together — it’s something you have to feel to truly understand.
