Home Educators event: Family Costume Ball

Get ready to party like it’s 1809 at our family costume ball, especially for home educating families. Don your best regency-style dress or waistcoat and come and learn the most fashionable dances from Jane Austen’s time.

Traditional garden games and craft activities will be on offer, as well as nibbles and non-alcoholic punch.

Accessories such as gloves and cravats will be available to wear at the ball. There will be a limited number of costumes to try on but we recommend coming in your own costume.

Recommended for children aged 7+. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Why not visit our exhibition “The Most Tiresome Place in the World”: Jane Austen in Bath at the same time? Ticket holders can purchase entry to the exhibition for the reduced cost of £2.50 for adults. Children can visit the exhibition for free with an paying adult. Exhibition tickets will be available to purchase on the day. The exhibition will be open between 1.30pm and 4.30pm. Simply show your ball tickets to a member of staff to receive the discounted rate.
