ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
This a CPD workshop for anyone who wants to take learning outdoors - Teachers, Teaching Assistants, trainee & qualified Forest School Leaders, Early Years Practitioners or anyone thinking of setting up a home-education group - anyone who would like more ideas/skills and the chance to meet like-minded people. It would also suit anyone thinking about doing the forest school training who would like to learn more before committing to the course.
ABOUT THE DAY:
During the day you will have the chance to:
*Hear about some of my experiences over the last 14 years
*Learn several songs, stories & games that you can then use yourselves - suitable for the term ahead (stories/songs will be printed for you to take home)
*Try new seasonal crafts and learn skills
*Look at and try a variety of equipment and tools
*Look at several books about skills, crafts and storytelling
*Light and maintain fires
You will be able to take photos, record songs, make notes (please bring a notebook & pen), you will be given details of good websites.
CELEBRATION: This workshop will be held the day before Autumn Equinox or Mabon, and a week before Michaelmas, so we will mark this turning of the wheel in the Wheel of the Year and learn more about these festivals and how it can be used in your lesson planning.
