About the event

Candlemas Carol Service
The Feast of Candlemas, or the "Presentation of Christ in the Temple", marks the point in the church's year when we take a final look backwards to Christmas with themes of incarnation and epiphany, and start looking forwards to Lent, Holy Week, and Easter, with themes of sacrifice, suffering and resurrection.
We reflect on Simeon's recognition of Jesus as "A light to lighten the gentiles" with this beautiful service of carols, readings, poems and choral music.
