Beckford's Tower was built between 1826 and 1827 for William Beckford (1760-1844) and is a unique building and a key landmark in the City of Bath. Meet up at the Tower at 11am for an exclusive guided tour with Learning and Engagement Officer, Marie - we will then ascend the 154 steps for some stunning views of Bath from the Belvedere at the top, before descending to look at Beckford's Tomb and the recently restored grotto.

Dress code: come in Regency daywear and wear suitable walking shoes, as you will be partially outside and the weather can be quite changeable at this time of year.
After our visit, we will have lunch at the Hare and Hounds public house nearby (please indicate on booking if interested).
Beckford Tower is easy to reach by bus from Milson Street, Bath (Bus No. 31), which stops very close to the main entrance of the Tower or, if you're feeling energetic, you can walk (takes about 40 minutes).
