Welcome to our invitation to our December Meeting & Christmas Party.
Our December Meeting will be held on Thursday 18th December 2025 combined with our end of year Christmas Party and I do hope you will join us.
Julie Barrington will be our Guest Speaker for this meeting. Many of you know Julie through her clothing alterations business, Stitched Up By Julie, but may not be aware that she also works as an English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher.
Julie recently spent a month in a remote impoverished village in north-eastern Bali, teaching at a local school. The school's mission is to break the cycle of poverty that often forces children into street begging or exploitation. By focusing on English and computer literacy, it provides students with meaningful opportunities for better future.
Julie plans to return to Bali permanently in the new year. We invite you to come and hear her share how this work is transforming the lives of these children.
With limited resources the school gratefully welcomes donations and this year instead of doing a Kris Kringle if anyone is keen to donate any of the following items Julie would be very appreciative.
English & maths extra curricular workbooks, (can be purchased in newsagents)
Colouring books aimed at boys
Head lice shampoo
One off financial donations or ongoing support
We are combining our Meeting with our Christmas Party.
So bring out your festive attire and join us for a 6pm start. Amber will prepare some lovely grazing platters (including gluten free & vegetarian) Julie will present during our grazing and once we have finished eating the festivities will commence.
We will be decorating Ginger Bread Houses - Amber will provide lollies for decorating, but asking you to bring along your own lollies for filling (eg. Numerous, candy canes, peppermints, m & m's, jelly beans etc whatever takes your fancy)
BYO wine, you must serve yourself.
Soft drink & tea & coffee will be available to purchase.
We will still have raffles and a prize for the person who is the most Christmassy!!!

It has been a big year for many of us so let's get creative and celebrate together.
Please note this meeting will start at 6pm as decorating houses will take time!
