201 Field Day: Class and Hive Inspection

Free Event! This class is for second year or more beekeepers or colonies. Join us as we answer questions, talk about our hives, discuss what you as a beekeeper should be doing right now, and preparing for the next month until the next class. After the class portion, we go out and open a beehive to do an inspection. We will show you brood, bees, look for the queen, and diagnose any issues within that hive. We try to find problem hives for this group to improve your resources in your own apiary. Bring a chair, something to drink, and your protective equipment (suit, jacket, or veil are required to go into the beehives with us). Opening a hive is weather dependent.
