Join us on Saturday, November 1st, from 6 PM – 8 PM for a festive Hispanic heritage celebration filled with color, music, and remembrance, honoring loved ones through tradition and community.
This vibrant, family-friendly event invites the Bastrop community to come together and celebrate here in Downtown Bastrop, through:
- Live Music
- Traditional Face Painting
- Ofrendas
- Honor Walk (with stops at Museum & Visitors Center and Bridges Emporium Art Shops)
- Food available for purchase from Casa Chapala
- FREE Pan Dulce (while supplies last) from Mama T’s Panadería
- Aguas frescas available for purchase from Anita's Mexican Restaurant
- Fresh Marigolds available for purchase from Greenleaf Gatherings
Join us at 7:30 PM for a Remembrance Walk as we travel a half mile down Main Street, honoring the memory of our loved ones. This is a reflective, community-centered tradition where participants carry photos or mementos to celebrate lives lost and the love that remains.
We are making two stops on the Honor Walk:
1) The Bastrop Museum & Visitor Center, where attendees can view beautiful ofrendas created by local families and even contribute to a special
community ofrenda.
2) Bridges Emporium Art Shops, where participants can pause, reflect, and view a beautifully curated community ofrenda honoring those who have passed.
We encourage you to bring an 11 in. x 8.5 in. (maximum size) photo of your loved one and secure it to a complimentary craft paper fan provided by our team.
Let’s celebrate, honor, and remember together.
