Meet up with the Friends of Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge at Cayuga Overlook on Route 77. Participants will embark on a leisurely drive through scenic routes within the refuge, stopping at designated hotspots known for their diverse bird populations. Led by experienced naturalists, participants learn about the different bird species inhabiting the area and receive tips on identification and observation techniques. Pre-registration is recommended. This program is free and open to all!
Date and Time: Saturday, April 18th, starts at 9:00am at the Cayuga Overlook, moves to different spots across the refuge until around 12:00pm. You may leave at any point in time during the program.
Location: Starts at the Cayuga Overlook on Route 77. Stop by the visitor center (1101 Casey Rd.) if you have any questions or need help finding your way.

Accessibility and Things to Know:: Easy-active, will involve driving your own vehicle to different spots, parking, getting out of your vehicle, walking, and using binoculars. Restrooms and water fountains are located at the visitor center. Bring along your binoculars and favorite field guide. These items are also available to check-out at no cost at the front desk of the visitor center. This program is held entirely outdoors besides driving to the different locations. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Cancellation notices will appear on Facebook and notices will be given to those who register their contact info.
