This recital will showcase the music of two contemporary composers, Ludovico Einaudi (b. 1955) and Yiruma (b. 1978). Coming from Italy and Korea respectively, these two composer-performers have become phenomenally popular in recent years, each with physical sales of well over a million and online streaming in the billions. The music of both is in a style which combines classical and contemporary sensibilities and is both touching and accessible.
Fr. Robert Nixon, OSB, will perform a comprehensive selection of the beloved works of these two great living composers, and the evening will be accompanied, as usual, by fine food and cocktails in New Norcia’s historic hostel.
The evening will commence at 6.30pm and will be accompanied by dishes prepared by Abbot John to suit the music!
Accommodation is $130.00 per room for two or $110.00 per room for one. This also includes a continental breakfast on Sunday morning.
