Leaving Iowa is a play about a middle-aged writer named Don who after his father's death travels across Iowa to find a suitable final resting place for his ashes only to find his grandmother's house has been replaced by a grocery store. The play then shifts between Don's present-day journey and his hilarious memories of the "torturous" family road trips of his youth allowing him to reconcile with his past and appreciate his father. www.leavingiowa.com/about-leaving-iowa
