Soft Pastels with Instructor Kerri Fleming

This is a 1 day class, focused on completing one pastel painting. Soft pastels are an art medium composed of powdered pigment and a binder. They are known for their intense colors, velvety texture, and ability to create smooth gradients.

During this class you will learn layering with different mark-making techniques. A still life will be provided, or you may bring a photo of your choice to work from. You will delve into the unique properties of soft pastels, exploring how to evoke rich textures and depths in your artwork. As you experiment with blending and layering, you'll discover ways to express your artistic vision, whether capturing a delicate bouquet or an intricate portrait. Our experienced instructor will guide you every step, ensuring your pastel piece comes to life beautifully.
