The Celtic Year Begins in the Dark...
Like the seed beneath the earth gestating life for the coming of Spring & the Void before the Spark of Creation. The Darkness & the in ward journey of Wintering is sacred and necessary for true transformation and birthing of the new.
As Summer fades and the Winter approaches join us at The Hearth as Awen Calls us to gather around Ancestral Fires to Celebrate Calan Gaeaf the Celtic New Year and embrace the coming of the dark months.
With Story, Song, Music, Bardic Weaving, Wisdom Shares, Crafting, Sacred Chants and ceremony we will honour and listen deeply to the ancestors and the Calling of our own hearts. Nurturing our roots & our connections to the land, each other and our human family.
Facilitators / Contributors: Emma & Gareth Jones, Stella Marie, Victoria FolkHeart, Deb Druid and more
Hiraeth - the long grief, the longing for home for our sacred lands and culture healing our roots as an invitation to all to bring the stories, the songs and the wisdom of all lands around the fire to remember the home between us.
If you are looking to deepen your connection with the ancestors, celtic wisdom and the dark months, prepare the way and nurture yourself into the coming of Wintering. If you are here with a story, a song or a poem to share from your own land or heart around the fire... If you are curious, feel the call of Awen or the magic of the other world or if you are just feeling the call of Hiraeth and the home between us. All are welcome and this gathering is for you....
