Meet the Artist: Aaban Aslam

North Devon student, talented artist and rising graphic novelist, Aaban Aslam will be in the library foyer creating characters for his new illustrated short story.
Talented artist and writer Aaban is a student based in North Devon. Hardworking, passionate, and dedicated, one trait shines through all the others: he simply loves to draw. A rising graphic novelist whose work - featured by the BBC - has vividly captured local landscapes and drawn thousands of readers online. His first chapter, inspired by heritage and folklore in North Devon, introduces the audience to a feisty female lead – spot the locations in Barnstaple - sets the scene for an epic adventure: The Widening Gyre — Beaford
He’ll be in the library foyer creating characters for his new illustrated short story. The resulting biosphere-based story will celebrate local identity and the deep connections between people and place. He is supported by Beaford Arts and funded by the Devonshire Association through The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
