Back in September we booked the pavilion at Silver Lake State Park in Barnard, Vermont in anticipation of a low key GO BIG party the night before the BMW MOA National Rally in Essex Junction, Vermont. This would be Tuesday, June 9.
Silver Lake State Park is located at the junction of sections 4 and 5 of the NEBDR. It's a great spot with a big, beautiful and clean lake, a historic general store down the road and some of Vermont's finest Maple Creemees a mile or so away.
They have lean-to and tent sites. They can accommodate smaller RV's and camp trailers.
We have reserved a block of lean-to and tent sites near the pavilion. Tent sites for four people non resident are $38 per night with an $8.00 reservation fee.
Right now that's it. The local VFD has been contacted about doing a bbq Tuesday night. If so tickets will be sold at cost. At the minimum there'll be smash burgers and chips.
No frills, just a great time with old friends at one of Vermont's finest parks that also happens to be on the NEBDR. .GPX files will be provided for a great ride to the rally. We have one of the lean-tos with power reserved so we can provide morning coffee.
Should you wish to commit to joining us the sites closest to the pavilion are being held through Friday. It's a big park and single night reservations open in March. Being a weeknight in early June there should be a spot last minute as well. The pavilion is limited to 100. Event dates reflect Tuesday dinner. Come early and enjoy the area. We're working on a spot for folks to leave trucks and trailers in lower New England.
