Customs House Big Band

The Customs House Big Band is a 17 piece Big Band/Jazz Orchestra made up of prominent professional and amateur musicians from the North East. Led by its Musical Director, Peter Morgan, the band takes its repertoire from the genre of Miller, Basie, etc. and 21st Century new composers such as Gordon Goodwin. The style is foot tapping swing and frequently features the voice of award winning vocalist Ruth Lambert. Over more than twenty five years the band has earned a prominent place in the northern musical landscape.
