El festival de cortometrajes Here & Elsewhere | هُنا وهُنالِك es un evento benéfico de tres días de duración. Da voz a Palestina, Líbano y otros lugares, centrándose en las comunidades que sufren marginación sistémica en todo el mundo.
Nuestras películas celebran la belleza, la alegría y la resiliencia que se encuentran en la resistencia, y van más allá de las narrativas trilladas de desesperación o estereotipos para revelar un retrato más rico y verdadero de la región.
Nuestro enfoque en la primera edición:
La cineasta palestina de la diáspora Fateema Al-Hamaydeh Miller proyecta su premiado cortometraje Mawtini (Mi patria). El 50 % de todos los beneficios del festival se destinará directamente a la producción de su próximo largometraje, 'Amwaj/Waves.
Programa:
Las puertas se abren todos los días a las 18:00 h y las proyecciones comienzan a las 18:30 h.
*Solo se permitirá el acceso a la proyección durante el horario de apertura del recinto y durante el intermedio. No se admitirá la entrada una vez comenzada la proyección.
Precios:
Entrada general: 8 €.

The Here & Elsewhere | هُنا وهُنالِك Short Film Festival is a 3-day fundraising event. Championing voices from Palestine, Lebanon and beyond, with a focus on communities facing systemic marginalization worldwide.
Celebrating beauty, joy, and the resilience found in resistance, our films move beyond tired narratives of despair or stereotypes to reveal a richer, truer portrait of the region.
Our First Edition Focus:
Palestinian diaspora filmmaker Fateema Al-Hamaydeh Miller screens her award-winning short film Mawtini (My Homeland). 50% of all festival profits will directly support the product of her upcoming feature film 'Amwaj/Waves.
Program:
Doors open daily at 18:00h with screening beginning at 18:30h.
*Access to the screening will only be permitted during the venue’s opening period and intermission. Late arrivals will not be admitted once the screening has begun.

Info: Vedad Divović (Sarajevo, 1991) is a portrait and documentary photographer based in Hamburg. He will exhibit a photo series from the Beirut Hippodrome, a historic site in Beirut that suffered significant damage during Israeli aggressions, particularly in 1982.

Info: Moderated by Mi Hoa Lee. A panel discussion that will explore the other faces of resistance through expression. With the participation of Jiana Awwad (Palestinian actress), Lena Sakalla (actress from US, with Palestinian roots) and Marlén Castro (Mexican journalist).

Info: Kiana shows the life of women and LGTB people in a country, Afghanistan, where they are erased. Her work shows not only the shadows, but also the lights of daily life, using neon inside as a symbol (as it is very used outside in that country).

Info: Flying Carpet Festival shows how circus, art, and joy can help heal a community. Once a year, Iranian composer Sahba Aminikia brings international artists to witness the magic that Pınar Demiral creates daily at her Circus School, Sirkhane, on the Turkish-Syrian border. The photographs reflect the perspectives of some of the artists who attended the festival.
