Fasnacht: The Second Gathering

Fasnacht is a winter carnival signaling the return of spring from winter’s grasp.

Rooted in older European Carnival traditions, but reimagined for Northeast Ohio, the gathering brings people together through music, masks, fire, and communal release. It is a night of sound and procession, of shared warmth, of letting winter loosen its grip.

This is not a reenactment or just a costume party, but a living gathering shaped by the people who attend it. Come as you are, curious and open—masks are welcome and participation is encouraged.

Music and performance will unfold throughout the night, building toward a shared moment of communal release, with the burning of the Old Man Winter effigy.
